Ryusei Hanabi (Meteor Fireworks) is associated with the story Shooting Star Festival. In the story, Ryuseitai participate in a festival called ryusei-sai (Shooting Star/Meteor Festival), feeling a calling to the festival since it shared the same kanjis as their own unit name.
(1.) In ! Era (Pre-2020), associated songs were typically released after the event had happened, but Ryusei Hanabi was the first time a song was released initially, much before the event's release. Ryusei Hanabi was released in 2016, and Shooting Star Festival in 2017.
(2.) This song is the second time Tetora gets to be the center of the verses (at the “Both the fist and mikoshi”), the first time happening in Yumenosaki Ryuseitai Song.
(3.) The event story centers around Tetora's performance for the festival, as the 5* of the story. He takes on the role of beating the drums to liven up the crowd.
(4.) The event story references various parts of the song, like “Hugging the crying lost child” (a plot-point in the story when Ryuseitai arrive at the festival).
(5.) Since Ryusei Hanabi was released before the event, the event's BGM was an arranged version of Ryusei Hanabi's instrumental.
(6.) Kanata’s lyrics in this song are written in hiragana only, similar to how he speaks in dialogue, so his lines are in lowercase.
- ↑ In the MV, the kanji 魂 (meaning spirit/soul) lights up in the background.
- ↑ Soiya and wasshoi are shouts typically heard in Japanese festivals, usually repeated when carrying a mikoshi (portable Shinto shrine). The official lyrics transcribed these two lines only at the start, but Ryuseitai sing them throughout the song.
- ↑ The lyrics make a wordplay with hitotsu (one) and hito (people). In the MV, the kanji 壱 (the alternative kanji for “one”) lights up in the background.
- ↑ The lyrics make a wordplay with futatsu (two) and fumajime (not serious). In the MV, the kanji 弐 (the alternative kanji for “two”) lights up in the background.
