- ↑ In Japanese, this is ren-ai shuukan, lit. “love week”. It’s common in schools or workplaces in Japan to hold a “theme” for a week, called “[name of theme] week”, that everyone works hard towards. This is likely a reference to that, since the song is set in school.
- ↑ In Japanese, “gloomy” is yuu-utsu, lit. “melancholy/depression”. This is written in katakana in the lyrics, likely because the kanjis are overly-complex with many strokes. “Yuu-utsu” is the same word in Midori’s character title, "Eagerly Sprouting Melancholic Green", and similar to his catchphrase, “I’m depressed” (utsu da).
