After the commander role became rotation-based, I got to see Ryuseitai in all sorts of colors.

And each one took me by surprise — “Ah, so there were this many worlds inside of them all along.”

It was so shocking to me… Before my eyes were worlds I’ve never once experienced before.

Beautifully shining worlds, each packed with their own individuality that nobody else could ever replicate.

That’s why I end up thinking… I feel bad that I had made them accompany my own selfish world all this time.

Besides, it’s precisely because we walked down this path that I got to learn about each of their individual worlds.

I believe our journey up until this point was necessary for Ryuseitai.

i will not. there was a smart protagonist in an old [anime], who would say “poku poku” when it was time to use his [head], so i [copied] after it.

but i made mine “puka puka”. it is what they call an “[original] touch,” yes?5

I believe he’s referring to Ikkyu-san. Although, I’d like to point out that I don’t think that is something he says, but rather a sound effect.6

As one would expect, I shall be the Ninja Kaijin. I am a kaijin of remarkable skill, capable of utilizing ninjutsu from all times and places.

I’m going with a kaijin based on eggplants…♪

I know I said that a villain is essential in a hero show, but four against one clearly puts the hero at a disadvantage, doesn’t it?

But in Sentai shows, the typical fight scenes have five to six heroes against one kaijin, right? In that case, it’s fine for the opposite to happen every once in a while.

The idea to compose a song all on our own for the ThanX Festival live show came to me completely on a whim, but… I never thought it’d turn out to be this incredible.

Translation Notes

1. ↑ Referring to Ryuseitai’s state back when Chiaki was a 1st and 2nd year, which is explicitly shown in Meteor Impact. Jin has also previously mentioned that the unit was in an awful state back when he was a Yumenosaki student as well, in Legendary Hero!.
2. ↑ As a fun note, Chiaki is easily startled by people approaching him; the most notable moments are in Astraea’s Atelier, but it’s happened in other stories like Witchcraft, and even back in his 2nd year of Yumenosaki, Meteor Impact, 2nd part Chapter 2.
3. ↑ An idiom that refers to someone whose disposition/personality never changes from when they were a young child, even after they’ve grown older. The English version of this idiom is “the child is father to the man”.
4. ↑ Puka puka means “floating” (Sometimes translated as “bubble, bubble”). As mentioned, when Kanata says this, it’s to do with his favorite hobby, water-bathing, where he “floats” in a body of water.

10. ↑ Jutsu can also refer to sorcery, i.e. unrealistic techniques, hence Chiaki’s remark here.
11. ↑ As a fun note, Chiaki has noted (as well as been noted by others) that he has no physical fighter’s strength. One mention of this is in Supervillain, Supersized Villain 2 & 3, where he even compares himself to “weak meat”.
