Chapter 1

Season: ES 2nd Year, Summer (June)

Ooh, it really was you, Anzu.

Mm? No, no, don’t sweat it. It was an unexpected job you had to do, right?

Plus, while we were waiting for you, I got to deepen my bonds with my comrades.

Due to a rise in solo work lately, the five of us haven’t been able to gather all together in quite a while. It was just the right opportunity for it! ☆

Ermm… Well, we’re all set now that Anzu-anego’s here, so how ‘bout we get started~? Looks like today’s topic is ‘bout the ThanX Festival, so…

Hey, come on! You can’t get down to business just like that. We’ve always had our own personal style of doing things!

Style? What’s that?

chiaki~ we have an emergency. the [evildoer] has stolen everyone’s hearts full of [gratitude].

the world has now become [coldhearted]. sob, sob…

As such, people’s smiles and “thank you”s are vanishing across the globe at rapid speed!

What!? This is a major problem!

In order to restore smiles and “thank you”s everywhere, we have to be the ones to deliver the gratitude powah to everyone!1

Ack. I feel like it’s been an insanely long time since I’ve seen this goofy energy.

But what are we supposed to do!? How are we gonna bring over all that gratitude powah to everyone!? The heck even is this “powah”, anyway!?

Oh, right. Tetora-kun was also the type to get into it when the rest start it up… He’s still dropping in remarks with common sense, though…

I still can’t let go of myself like Tetora-kun can… I wanna die…

Don’t give up, Takamine! Get yourself fully in there until the very end!

Shut up.

It ticks me off to be told that by the guy who’s trying to pull way ahead…

You’re the main cause of everything in the first place. You’re always making us go along with your goofy skits no matter when or where…

I’m sorry for making you go along with it, but at the very least, I’d like you to call it “playing superheroes”!2

And so! For the sake of delivering our gratitude powah, let’s begin our strategy meeting for Fan ThanX Festival!

The live show has already been confirmed, so the actual matter is the other project we’ll be doing.

Is there anything that you think would be good to do, or that you’d like to do? Anything is fine, so tell me all your ideas without restraint!

Ah, whew. Looks like we’ll start making progress normally now.

Then, may I?

I allow Ryusei Green to make his statement! Go ahead!

We make cutout stand-ins of Ryuseitai and put them in suitable places.3

Eh? You still haven’t given up on that proposal?

Nope. Plus, you’re the one who said to tell you our ideas without restraint.

Midori-kun, Midori-kun. Anzu-dono looks as troubled as we expected. She clearly has a strained smile on her face.

Ehh… Is it my fault? I just said my thoughts after being told it’s fine to, though… This is so depressing…

Mm? Anzu, why’re you raising your hand? Do you have an idea, too?

Alright! O Sixth Warrior, Ryusei Pink! I allow your statement, the floor is yours!

Hm, hm… I see. An event-planning enterprise heard about ES’s ThanX Festival and were hoping to collaborate with Ryuseitai… and you suggest that we accept it?

Collaboration? Wouldn’t that dwindle the feelin’ of a ThanX Festival?

And we don’t even know what the collab’s ‘bout, so it’s hard to decide if we should take it or not.

…A tower lit up with special lights? Huh, that does sound kinda cool, actually.

…………

—Alright, got it! For our ThanX Festival project, let’s go with that collaboration and whatever else!

Eh? You sure? You decided on that so easily.

Like I mentioned earlier, won’t a collab dull the feelin’ of the ThanX Festival?

No, I didn’t decide on this so easily. I thought it over in my own way.

Anzu didn’t decline the offer, and instead came all the way to let us know about it—

This must mean that from her perspective as a producer, this was a project she just knew she had to recommend us, right?

Mm, so I was right. This project already has Anzu’s seal of approval, then.

In that case, I want to agree to it!

Plus, they took a liking to Ryuseitai enough to directly nominate our unit, so I’d rather not show indifference to those feelings, either.

—But I understand Nagumo’s concern, as well.

That’s why I have a suggestion for you instead, Anzu — Could we hold a Ryuseitai handshake event at the tower while the special lights are on?

I’d like to indicate to all our fans that this collaboration is part of Ryuseitai’s Fan ThanX Festival!

…I see! Thank you, Anzu. Then, are we all set for our ThanX Festival to be a handshake event and a tower lit up with special lights?

If this is a project that Anzu-san herself is recommending, then I’m fine with anything. It’s easier on us if we can have things settled as fast as possible, anyway.

I am also in agreement~!

I’m fine with that project, too! And besides, Morisawa-senpai’s the commander this time, so~4

that’s right. i think it is fine to go with what chiaki [wants]~ our job is to simply follow along the [commander].

Alright! No one has any objections, so it’s decided: Ryuseitai’s Fan ThanX Festival will be a handshake event and a special tower lighting!

I’m soo excited~♪ Let’s all make this an absolute success!

Chapter 2

A few days after the Fan ThanX project details were settled. In the StarPro meeting space…

The event-planning enterprise’s project proposal for Ryuseitai’s Fan ThanX Festival… IS HEEEREEEE!!

Uuu… He’s so suffocating day after day, seriously…

You guys! Do you want to see!? You do, don’t you!?

You’re totally going to keep asking that until we say yes, aren’t you. That back-and-forth is such a pain, so let’s just take a look at it already.

Alright! Takamine chimed in with his thoughts too, so let’s go ahead and review the proposal together!

Ermm…?

Ooh! There’s photos of past illuminations attached in here, and it looks much more impressive than I had imagined…!

so for the [collaboration], they will [illuminate] lights in our [five colors], is that right~?

Looks like we’ll have our handshake event toward the evening, and then the tower will be lit-up afterwards. The handshake event part is pretty standard, but… Yeah, I think this sounds neat for a ThanX Festival.

Mhm, mhm! No complaints about the details here.

—Mm? “Idols, here in the summer night. Let’s go meet idols this summer”…? Is this the slogan for the collaboration project?

Eh? Ahh, looks like it.

Is there somethin’ wrong with it? I feel like it’s a pretty typical tagline.

I see…

…? You aren’t gonna suddenly say you’re not a fan of this project, right?

Ahh, no. I assure you that isn’t the case. I think this is an incredible project, deserving of the best!

I’m not sure why, but it caught my eye for some reason, that’s all.

Hah…?

Fuhaha! Maybe I got myself so hyped up that I’m now feeling worn-out. So don’t worry about it.

There doesn’t seem to be any problems with the details of the collaboration, so it’s time we start preparing for the ThanX Festival tomorrow onwards!

A week later. In one of Seisoukan’s dorm rooms…

Tap, tap, tap…

Alright, this looks good. The practice lesson schedule for the coming days until the ThanX Festival is finally finished.

Mm~ Personal computers are handy, but I don’t use them on a daily basis, so this ended up taking a long time to complete.

Sengoku worried over my inexperience with it and offered to help, and I turned it down as I felt like I’d simply be pushing trivial tasks on him…

But maybe I should’ve allow myself to rely on him after all.

I got way too ahead of myself too, since I’m the commander this time. Even though pure enthusiasm won’t suddenly make me better at using PCs…

Despite loving archaic things such as ninjas, Sengoku has such an incredible handle on phones and PCs, it’s impressive. I wonder if it’s because they’re used so often in the Student Council…5

Ninjas are also part of the high-tech generation, huh. Even the items and technology in recent Sentai shows are evolving rapidly.

Oh well. It took me a long while to get here, but I managed it in the end. Even I can do it if I just try!

Heh-heh, this looks plenty good to me! I made sure to keep it simple so that anyone could understand i—

Mm? I see a notification badge on my email.

Ah, this is an email sent to Ryuseitai’s request box.6 I wonder what it says…?

Hm, hm…?

Ohh! It’s a fan letter to Ryuseitai from a little kiddo!

I’m soo happy, I’m soo happy~♪

While my idol work has been active, I haven’t been able to perform hero shows lately, so I felt a little lonely seeing less fan letters from kids over time.7

“Hello! I am always cheering for everyone! I did not know where to send my fan letter, so I sent it to the request box! I’m sorry if I got it wrong.”8

Thank you for your constant cheers! Don’t worry about that at all! You can never make a mistake with how you send it. I’m always welcome no matter where it’s from! ☆

“I saw the livestream that said Ryuseitai will do the fan thanx festival. I’m so happy!”

Mhm, mhm. I’m also happy to get a chance to meet fans like yourself.9 I’m so excited~♪

“I wanted to go no matter what, but I can’t anymore. I’m sorry.”

Eh? Is that so…

“The place is really far, but I helped my mom lots, so she promised me she’d take me.”

“But I got sick, and now I’m staying in the hospital because I have to do a surgery.”

“I feel super frustrated. I’m sorry I can’t go to the fan thanx festival.”

…I see. There’s no need to apologize! I’ll make sure to deliver you powah from the venue, so that your surgery ends safe and sound! You can count on me!

“I can’t go, but I’m cheering for everyone with all my might! I’ll definitely go to the fan thanx festival one day.”

“Please do your best at work!”

…………

(Ah. I finally understand why that sentence bothered me so much…)

“Idols, here in the summer night. Let’s go meet idols this summer,” huh…

Chapter 3

Buhaah…!

Hah, hah… I ran as hard as I could, so I should make it to the lesson just in time!

I didn’t think my work would fall behind schedule this much~ I underestimated how long it’d take.

Then again, I’ve got a good excuse for bein’ late, so I could’ve just let everyone know in advance—

But it’s hard to find the timing to send a message when you’re not sure if you’ll really be late or not~ then I just got desperate thinking ‘bout it, decidin’ I can make it in time as long as I run super fast.

Man, I haven’t even started my unit lesson for the day, so using up all my energy just to get here is—

Phone vibrates

(Mm? I think I received somethin’ on my phone.)

(Ermm… A lesson schedule for the coming days ‘til the ThanX Festival? And it seems like Morisawa-senpai sent it to me privately…)

Uu~myu… What is this? It’s nice I could get the schedule today, since we’re starting our practice lessons for the live show…

But why didn’t he just wait to share ‘til everyone’s gathered in the room?

…………

Ahh, jeez! It frustrates me not knowin’ his reasoning behind this…! Morisawa-senpai’s explanations are always so lacking!

Maybe I should just call him~…?

Phone rings

…………

“Hello? Nagumo?”

Ossu. Don’t “Nagumo?” me. The heck is that lesson schedule you just sent? That alone isn’t enough for me to get what’s goin’ on.

“Sorry, sorry! I was just in the middle of typing up my message. I accidentally sent the schedule on its own before I could write my follow-up message for you.”

“I’ll just tell you on call now that we’re here, but — I’m a little busy right now, you see…”

“I’ll likely be a little late to the lesson, so could you start practice without me, with this schedule as a reference point?”

“Sorry that I’ll be late on our very first day of lessons for ThanX Festival! I know it’s an important day for us, but I’m afraid I’ll have to leave it all on you for now, Nagumo! I’m counting on you!”

I don’t really mind that you’re leavin’ it to me or that you’ll be late, but… What’re you busy with, exactly? Did somethin’ big happen?

“Ahh, no. It’s actually really trivial, so don’t worry about it! It really is nothing!”

“Alright, I’ll join you all at practice later! I’m counting on you!”

Ah— Hold on! We’re not done talkin’…! —Gah, he hung up.

Sigh. Morisawa-senpai is bad at lyin’ as per usual.

Why doesn’t he realize that if it really was somethin’ trivial, he wouldn’t be delaying practice then~? He always fails to keep that sorta thing in mind, man…

Is that guy bearin’ somethin’ troublesome on his own again…?

Sorry, sorry! I kept you two waiting.

Right, so about my suggestion — What do you think!?

Aaabsolutely~ not ♪

Guh— C-Can’t we work it out somehow…!? Please, Tenshouin, Anzu!

I really want to modify Ryuseitai’s ThanX Festival proposal to have us travel across the country and interact with our fans at every stop, no matter what!

I just told you I can’t approve of this, didn’t I? Look, you’re being so unreasonable that even Anzu-chan’s at a genuine loss, you know?

Uu… I’m well aware I’m being unreasonable with my selfish request… But! Please, make it work somehow!

Didn’t management say that they’d prioritize fulfilling the unit’s wishes to the maximum of their capabilities for ThanX Festival? If that’s the case, my request wouldn’t be too absurd, would it?

It’s common for a proposal to go through a few twists and turns midway, isn’t it?

I don’t think that something that’s common, and something that would simply cause trouble to others are the same case, though.

Sigh. Chiaki, I’m not dismissing your proposal just to be mean to you. Neither is Anzu-chan, of course.

Your proposal has a fatal flaw.

Flaw…?

You’re casually suggesting to travel across the country, but how do you and the rest of Ryuseitai hope to find the time to even complete the schedule to accomplish such a plan?

I know very well that everyone in Ryuseitai has been getting more individual work lately. Aren’t you all quite busy? Of course, it’s rather wonderful news.

But I can’t imagine you’d be able to manage this plan simply by adjusting the jobs that Ryuseitai as a whole have been getting.

Let’s say we reworked the project according to your desires.

If you’re to go around the entire country, that would take a tremendous amount of time. The best case scenario is an estimate of about one month.

And in that month, every activity that has a Ryuseitai member involved would have to be rescheduled or canceled.

Your unreasonable request, versus the trouble caused to everyone around you. You can clearly see which side the scales would tip over, can’t you?

T-That’s…

Why are you bringing up this discussion all of a sudden in the first place?

I thought I heard that you were very eager about Ryuseitai’s ThanX Festival project during the briefing with Anzu-chan, and had already agreed to proceed with it as planned.

…………

Chapter 4

…The truth is, I received a fan letter from a very young Ryuseitai fan.

Fan letter…?

Yeah. They were very thrilled to hear we’d be holding our ThanX Festival.

But unfortunately, they fell ill and won’t be able to make it to our venue. They were very apologetic about it in the letter…10

What’s the matter with that? Doesn’t that happen all the time?

If they can’t come due to their physical condition, then you don’t need to concern yourself with it, correct? You aren’t saying you want them to come to the event even while they’re sick, are you?

Of course not. That’s simply out of the question. I want them to give themself time to recover.

But… Even if that kid wasn’t sick, I don’t think they would’ve been able to come to the ThanX Festival anyway. I honestly doubt it.

They live very far away, and they’re still so young. It’s unlikely that their parents would allow them to travel such a distance all on their own.

In the letter, they mentioned that their mom promised to take them if they help her out, but I have a feeling that promise wouldn’t have been met when the time comes.

I apologize for doubting their mother over this, but…

That’s just how many challenges the kiddos have to clear through in order to come see us.

Isn’t that strange?

Heroes come rushing to anyone in trouble, or to anyone that wishes to see them… That’s what we’re supposed to be to people.

And yet, they have to expend their efforts to come see the heroes.

The tagline of this project is “Idols, here in the summer night. Let’s go meet idols this summer,” but—

This tagline simply just doesn’t feel right to me at all.

…The answer to what you’re saying is simple.

It’s because you aren’t a hero. You’re an idol based on heroes.

…………

Sigh. I was wondering what caused you to question yourself… To think it’d all be because of some wishy-washy ideal as that.

Chiaki. If you want to do charity work, I’d like you to do it someplace else.

ThanX Festival is an ES-sponsored event under the pretense of “conveying gratitude to all fans”. Do you understand that?

Since it’s an event, the most important task for the sponsors is to make it a viable business. To achieve this, profitability and customer-attraction are crucial factors.

Moreover, have you not noticed that by stating that, you’re looking down on the other ES units?

All the units are hosting their own event, and all the fans are paying with their time and money to see them.

Chiaki. Your statements may as well be making light of the labor and effort of all those idols and fans.

No! I don’t mean it that way…! I’m not trying to invalidate the actions of other idols, let alone those of the fans.

I’m well-aware of it myself; I’m simply speaking of ideals.

However… Every once in a while comes a time when I’m at a loss between my ideals and reality.

Nobody gets to live their life as they imagined. That’s why, instead of giving up, we make every effort we can to get closer to our ideals as much as possible.

I see. If that’s what it is, then let me give you a piece of advice for your sake, as friends.11 Stop chasing after ideals. Don’t you know that’s a thorny path?

You say that you’ll head to each and every place for the sake of aiding the children who can’t come to your venue?

What do you and your unit plan to do once you’ve reached every stop?

There’s no chance you can visit each and every individual house. In the end, the fans will still have to come visit you at some sort of landmark, no?

In that case, there will still be a set of fans who can’t come see you for some reason or another.

You… may be right on that, but…

Your claim is like saying you’ll take with you a single trifling stray animal because it would be too pitiful to have it euthanized12 — it’s purely self-righteous virtue.13

If you truly want to put an end to animal slaughter, you should stretch your hand to all animals equally, or change the very system from within.

Otherwise, you’re simply picking and choosing which living being to save. It’s nothing but arrogance.

…………

I’m aware. Even how it’s nothing but self-righteous virtue. And how dreams barely ever come true.14

Reality has beaten me over the head countless times over that.

But what is exactly wrong with that…?

I’d rather do self-righteous virtue than not do any virtue at all.15 Even if it’s only a single trifling animal, I’d rather rescue it than not.

I don’t think that I’m capable of saving every single person in the world. But I want to extend my hand and rescue at least those who are right before my eyes.

…………

Sigh… You truly have a troublesome disposition.

I suppose that’s exactly why there are people who are saved by it, though.16

While I’d love to grant your wish as your friend, for this specific case, I’ll be responding to you from a management standpoint.

As someone who administers this agency, I cannot approve of your demand, Chiaki.

Anzu-chan and I are both pained by this in our own right. So I’d like it if you could accept this conclusion as an idol.

You wouldn’t want to drag your unit mates behind either, would you, Chiaki?

…………

…You’re right. I understand.

Mm. I’m sorry I took the time out of your day to have you go along with my selfish whims, you two.

I need to head over to my practice lesson now, so I’ll take my leave here. See you another time, Tenshouin, Anzu!

Chapter 5

sea anemone exercise, part one~ alright. one, two~, three, four~☆

Midori-kun, what exactly is this “sea anemone exercise” we’re being made to do?

Don’t ask me…?

Why is he having us do such wacky things? I feel like whenever Shinkai-senpai’s in charge, nothing good comes out of it… He made us film that weird commercial just a while back, too.17

—‘Suuup~! Sorry I’m late. My work just kept fallin’ behind schedule.

Ah, Tetora-kun.

It is no problem at all. We were actually still in the midst of our stretches, though I’m not sure what they even are.

Actually, it seems that even Morisawa-senpai is late. Even though last time, he mentioned he’d have the day off today…

So why’s he still not here? It’s not fair if he’s just skipping out on his own…

Mm~ This is Morisawa-dono we’re talking about, so I don’t believe he’d skip out. Perhaps he had an urgent matter to attend to, or the like?

Well, yeah. He’s like if the concept of earnestness could walk on two feet. I’m the one who said it, but I know he’s not the type to just skip, really.

Ahh, I just had a call with Morisawa-senpai, actually. He’ll be late with some business, so he wants us to start the lesson without him.

business?

…Well, that’s what he said, but — It sounded to me that he’s either gotten himself involved with somethin’ troublesome, or burdening himself with somethin’ all on his own again.

He thinks he’s hiding it just fine, though.

Did a problem occur somewhere?

Ah~ I’m getting deja vu… Didn’t something like this happen before? There was a time when Morisawa-senpai ran all over the place after his proposal got scrapped.18

I remember~ Although, it’s unclear whether this is the exact same situation again.

Well, either way, we won’t know what’s actually goin’ on ‘til we hear it from him, so~ For the time being, let’s carry on with our practice like he told us to.

then let us continue from where we left off. sea anemone exercise, part two~☆

Midori-kun, what’s this “sea anemone exercise”…?

Quit asking me already…

Time passes…

—Sorry! I kept you guys waiting!

chiaki. i heard you had some urgent [business], but is everything alright?

…………

Yep, all good now! Everything got solved without any hitches! ☆ Now we can focus on our lessons all we like!

…………

i see~ we just finished [stretching], so please go ahead and do the [sea anemone exercise] on your own, chiaki.

you have to do your [stretches] first before moving your body, after all. alright, off you go~

Off I go to do what…? What exactly is this “sea anemone exercise” in the first place?

this [physical exercise] is [inspired] by the sea anemones that are knocked about by the unrestricted [sea current]. i am the one who [made] it.

Ohh… It’s wonderfully abundant with originality, but there’s no chance I’d know about an exercise you came up with, Kanata. At the very least, I’d like it if you started by explaining the steps first.

just so you are aware, there are forty eight sets to it. it is equal to the amount of [tentacles] that a striped anemone has.19

Forty eight!? Our practice would end with just the stretches alone, though!?

Ah~ Sorry to interrupt the excitin’ conversation, but…

Morisawa-senpai, in the lesson details you sent, you wrote “give each of them an assignment”—

What’s that ‘bout? It’s been on my mind this whole time. I got the feeling you’d be the one to tell us, since there weren’t any assignments written in the message itself.

Ahh, that! This is the perfect time to talk about it.

For our ThanX Festival live show, I want to include a song that was written by us in the set list.

That’s why I’d like you guys to think up lyrics based on your own personal feelings!

Ehhh? Lyrics…? I’ve never done that before, and there aren’t any cool-sounding lines that come to my mind…

That’s fine! In fact, since this is an event to express our gratitude, I think we should present Ryuseitai’s most honest feelings in the song, rather than just cool-sounding words!

Uu~myu… If we don’t have to come up with somethin’ too advanced, I don’t mind doin’ it.

Indeed~ I’m certain it would make our fans happy, as well!

let’s think of many [words] to express our [gratitude]. in ways that could reach every one of our [fans]…♪

…………

Yeah! Aaalrighty then, let’s make this into the best song ever!

Translation Notes

  1. Powah, said as pau-a. This is a different pronunciation from how it’s typically said in Japanese; the typical way to say it is pawaa. Chiaki has said “powah” before in various stories, like Comet Show, Prologue and Week-end at the Aquarium 3, and VS★GOURMET, Praise of Delicious Flavors 1.
  2. Also known as playacting superheroes, it’s typically a form of roleplay that children play amongst each other. Ryuseitai has played superheroes before in Midori’s Idol Story Hero Game, that also had a similar scene like the above happen.
  3. These sort of cutout stand-ins can also be seen in Midori’s leader/center song, RELAX PARADISE (It’s right at the beginning of the MV).
  4. “Commander” (taichou in Japanese) refers to the leader of Ryuseitai.
  5. Shinobu is proficient with intel gathering, whether online or in real life. He’s also been part of the Student Council for two years; he was the treasurer in his 2nd year, and he’s currently the secretary in his 3rd year.
  6. Ryuseitai had a request box during their Yumenosaki days for collecting troubled requests from fans/students. Shinobu took charge of it after Chiaki graduated, and utilized in the Ninja Association (Mentioned in Dead End Land). It’s unclear whether this is the same request box, so consider this a fun fact!
  7. Hero shows are skit-like performances aimed toward children, typically consisting of a tokusatsu hero in costume fighting a villain. Chiaki enjoys performing such hero shows with Ryuseitai or by himself for kids.
  8. In Japanese, the kid doesn’t use any kanji that’s taught in their later elementary school years (further indicating it’s a young child). I tried to express this by simplifying their wording and using less punctuation.
  9. Chiaki usually uses omae for “you” when talking to people, but he switches to kimi when speaking to kids, which sounds friendlier and softer in comparison.
  10. As a fun note, Scorpio’s Venom is a story where Chiaki was similarly motivated to take action for the sake of a kid in the hospital for surgery. In that story, it was even a hospital that Chiaki used to go to when he was a sickly child himself.
  11. Eichi and Chiaki met at a hospital when they were kids (first revealed in Saga), and became friends again when they met each other in Yumenosaki. One story for the two is Red Hot Island.
  12. As a fun note, someone in Ryuseitai has attempted to save a single animal from being euthanized before; it was Midori in Zodiac, Senpai Turned Into A Dog!?.
  13. Originally, this is gizen, lit. “hypocrisy”, i.e. pretending to have virtuous and moral beliefs that one doesn’t actually have, or the deception of such. This is a common theme in Ryuseitai, and a notable one is Supernova; Eichi is in it & one chapter title is “Hypocrisy and Justice”.
  14. This is a common theme in Ryuseitai, especially Chiaki’s storyline. He has not only experienced this harsh truth multiple times (notably in Meteor Impact), but he’s also stated it as well, like in Climax, Heroes of the Future 3 (right at the end).
  15. In Japanese, gizen (lit. “hypocrisy”) is made up of the kanjis “fake” + “virtue”, which Chiaki contrasts with zen (virtue). I worded gizen in a way that suits the context it was used here.
  16. As a fun note, Eichi is technically one of these people saved by his “troublesome disposition,” all the way back in their 2nd year in Yumenosaki. This is covered in Crossroad.
  17. Referring to Stella Maris, when Kanata made them perform a silly song called “fish song” (Seen in the Prologue).
  18. Referring to Supernova, when Eichi rejected Chiaki’s hero show proposal, and Chiaki had to put in a lot of work to revise it enough to be suitable for an idol job.
  19. Also known as the Dofleinia armata. I can’t find a site in English mentioning this, but the tentacle amount is mentioned in JP sites.
