A few days after the tower lighting event ended. On the day of the live show…

What’re you grinning over off to the side right when our live show’s about to start? You’ll get reported for being a pervert, y’know…?
Pervert!? That’s so mean! Couldn’t you have at least gone with “suspicious person”!?
I think they’re both more or less the same thing, though… Someone grinning at their phone that wide is freaky to see either way.
I have my reasons! You see, the kid who sent a fan letter to our request box sent us another one!
Ahh, the kid who is in hospital for surgery, correct?
Yeah! They said that they could see the towers lighting up from the hospital room they’re in…!
I’m so glad the tower lighting event wasn’t a failure…
I was this close to getting my timing all wrong because Morisawa-senpai went with a weird cue after all… Even though I told you to go with something understandable.
Jumping and yelling “tou!” after saying the catchphase is a classic scene in Sentai shows, and that reference was combined with the cue for “light up”.1 I thought it was quite clever, actually.
Ah—! It feels really embarrassing when you take the time to explain it like that…!
In any case, the kid wrote that they’ll do their best to get through the surgery and make sure to come to the next ThanX Festival, and so I couldn’t help myself from smiling.
isn’t that just wonderful~ chiaki. and what’s more, our thanx festival’s [project] has expanded even further, right?
Yeah, for reals! I also heard ‘bout it from Anzu-anego just a moment ago!
Our ThanX Festival’s tower lighting event was such a big hit that the project expanded to have tower lightings in five big cities for the next job! Isn’t that amazin’!? This is one heck of a project!
But will that be alright for our schedules? Since it expanded so suddenly and all.
Yep, no problems at all!
Since the event’s going to expand to lighting up towers in five major cities, you can imagine that even StarPro can’t simply just brush this off.
So they’ve adjusted each of our schedules to have one day available.
One day… So that means it’s a day-trip job, huh… To be honest, I wish we could take our time to sightsee ‘round the place, too.
Ha-ha-ha! You’re right. You know what, let’s have a trip together somewhere on our time off! We could freely enjoy ourselves that way!
ah. the [live show] is about to begin. i am bubbling with excitement for everyone to hear our [song] packed full of ryuseitai’s feelings…♪

“We are always grateful for the support from all of our fans — from each and every one of you!”
“Now and forever, I shall be an idol who keeps close to his fans, akin to a ninja who keeps close to his lord…!”
“waah~ there are so many blue [penlights]~”
“i love the sea. and all our fans always turn our [stage] into a very big [sea], right?”
“as [repayment], i will bring [smiles] to everyone with our [songs]. all in hopes that it gives everyone strength…♪”

“Ermm… Thank you so much for coming to our live show today.”
“I’ve always thought that maybe I’m not really cut out for being a hero… I don’t have the confidence that I can show myself being brave, either…”
“That’s why every time I’m up on stage, I’d start getting second thoughts, like if it’s really alright for me to be here…”
“But that’s when I’d hear all the cheers from you, our fans. It always brought me so much warmth…”
“Those cheers have pushed me forward so many times, that I managed to reach all the way to this point.”
“That’s why… Knowing I get to convey all my gratitude to everyone on this stage today makes me so happy. Thank you so much, really…♪”

“I can see all your smiles from up this stage~! Thank you so much for coming to our live show today!”
“Everyone’s enjoying the show… Right? Yup, don’t even need to check to know that!”
“Up ‘til now, I thought that a hero is ‘someone who is perfectly strong in every way,’ but… After a lotta things happened, I’ve now come to think of it as ‘someone who stands back up every time, no matter how weak they may be’.”2
“Whenever I stumbled, I could get back up each time ‘cuz of everyone’s cheers, and that’s exactly why I get to convey my ‘thank you’ to everyone with my head held high today, too.”
“The marks of Ryusei Black’s efforts aren’t just the stage, songs, and dance — I’ve grown to understand the proof of it is also within everyone’s smiles, and that realization made me real happy!”3
“From now on too, I might keep stumblin’ several times and fail to do things perfectly—”
“But even if it takes me a long time, I’m gonna make sure to move forward one step at a time! So I’d be thrilled if everyone would continue to support us as Ryuseitai!”

“—Everyone, thank you so much for today!”
“I’m standing at the center of this stage and introducing myself in a hero-like fashion right now, but… At the start of it all, I was also just a child who looked up to and admired heroes.”4
“Every time I’d think about how I have to lead my comrades, I was actually the one feeling the most anxious… There were even nights I was too scared to sleep. There were times I wanted to turn my back and run away after nothing would go well.”5
“But that’s exactly the very moment… when all your voices reached me.”
“ ‘Hang in there.’ ”
“Hearing those cheers, the child who would only ever dream of being a hero… finally became one, and is now standing on this stage before you.”6
“I am proud to be part of Ryuseitai.”
“And above all, I’m proud to have been able to meet every one of you, who always cheer for us with such warmth in your hearts!”
“And I have the utmost gratitude to the best comrades I could ever have, too…!”
“I am truly always saved by everyone!”
“From now on and forever, we will shine out each of our colors — and all of us in Ryuseitai, as well as everyone cheering for us, will move forward together.”
“That’s why I want to convey all the gratitude I have from the bottom of my heart to each and every one of you, right here on this very stage! Thank you…!”
Fan ThanX Festival Event
Thank you for reading Ryuseitai’s ThanX Festival story! But the story doesn’t end here; Ryuseitai also launched an event to light up five towers in major cities in real life!

Translation Notes
- ↑ “Light up” in Japanese is tentou. Chiaki loves puns & wordplays and enjoys making them!
- ↑ Tetora most especially realizes this in Supervillain, Supersized Villain Chapter 1-3, when Chiaki tells Tetora the truth about how Chiaki used to be like in his 2nd year, before he had “transformed” into a hero.
- ↑ In the epilogues of WILDLAND (Tetora’s turn as leader), Tetora goes through a similar realization about his efforts and his influence on fans and admirers.
- ↑ To add on to this, Chiaki was also a sickly child who often had to be at the hospital in the past.
- ↑ Chiaki has mentioned this several times before; some examples are Christmas Live, Star Chart 2, Climax, Tears of Shooting Stars 2, as well as explored in Supernova.
- ↑ The cheers of “Hang in there (ganbare)” are very important to Chiaki, shown in Meteor Impact, when he would always have to cheer himself on with those words until he finally had someone yelling out those cheers for him.
