“From above, right above. The sail part of this pirate ship-replica stage is in fact a screen, and one can display footage through it…♪” (waves)
“I cannot efficiently perform my activities during the day time, after all. I even collapsed from heatstroke, so I will now be participating through this screen, instead of pushing myself.”
“These sorts of situations occur in television programs and idol stages and the like, no? They call it a ‘friend appearance’.”
“The sun will set in due time, so rest assured that I will be joining the live show then. ♪”
Aight… Hey, wait, why’re ya givin’ off such a nonchalant vibe like you’re on a vacation in a cool place, huh?
We’re sweatin’ our asses off under the hellish burnin’ sun here! You think you’re so lucky, ahhn!?

“In terms of the setting, I am the ship’s captain, commanding all you pirates—”
“But through a blunder, I was captured by the navy squad, and I am now on the brink of being executed, you see.”
“Thus, you are my courageous fellowmen who will battle against the navy in order to rescue poor old me. That sort of flavoring is what we are going with, so off you go with your duties. ♪”
Aight then… Yeah, I’mma grab you by the back of your neck and get you up on this stage no matter what!
So wash that neck as you wait!2 I don’t really care if you end up gettin’ executed before that, though!
“Mm. By the way, I am currently in Yumenosaki Academy’s infirmary. The academy is close to the beach you are at, so I had Chiaki-kun carry me.”
“It’s cool and refreshing here with the air conditioner, such divine heaven…♪”
“I apologize for making you feel so lonely, Doggie.3 I’ll be sure to pamper you a lot later on, so hold it in for now…♪”

“I recorded my dancing and singing in advance, so I shall end the talk here and play that footage now~♪”
Ah, hold it right there! Throw a complaint at Hakaze…senpai, dude! He had us both locked in a cell for some reason!

When I was young, I was always trapped in a cell just like this one.
Confined by my terrifying elder sisters, I was pushed to work like a slave.
But I have grown strong. And I have become strong enough to protect “oppressed beings,” similar to how I once was.5
I will defend myself… and I will make sure to support and protect Oogami and Anzu.
I will be the one to protect weak beings.

Awwright then, prepare yourself, Hakaze…senpai! It’s time for the juniors to have fun overthrowin’ their seniors~! ♪
We’re still in the middle of the performance, so I’mma let you off with one hard blow for now~! ♪
Wawa, don’t grab me by the collar~! The guests are watching, y’know~?
At the very least leave my face alone, seriously! Someone save me — This kid’s eyes look for real~!?
T-This isn’t right! Violence isn’t right! I have to stop them! As an ally of justice!
And it would only be a detriment to UNDEAD if they end up with a full-on brawl onstage!
In the worst case, they’ll have their activities suspended, and even if that doesn’t happen, their reputation as idols will severely drop…
Ryuseitai, we’re called to action! We have to stop them from doing anything stupid!

Translation Notes
- ↑ As a fun note, several scenes here are referenced again 10 years after this event’s release; in UNDEAD’s Fan ThanX Festival, Velvet Ship (which is also based on pirates).
- ↑ Lit. meaning “prepare your neck for the execution” (hence why Koga says it here), but is mainly used as a figure of speech to prepare yourself for something severe.
- ↑ Rei calls Koga wanko, a cute way to refer to a dog.
- ↑ Little Mermaid is ningyo hime (人魚姫), literally “mermaid princess”.
- ↑ For those interested, Adonis in his childhood is shown in SWING NIGHT; his unbloomed CG is also how he looked as a child!
- ↑ Gokaiger is a pirate-themed sentai series. Koga’s line references the catchphrase said by Captain Marvelous (Gokai Red). Fun fact, Kaoru’s VA, Hosogai Kei, plays one of the pirate villains: Basco ta Jolokia!
- ↑ One of Gokaiger’s gimmicks is to transform into previous sentai squads. The villain typically exclaims the name of that sentai squad in surprise, and Gokaiger responds with this one-liner (fitting for the pirate themed sentai squad!). Here is a video of it (first 20 seconds).
